Nellie's Cottage in Holmfirth is a Grade II listed self-catering holiday cottage in the heart of Last of the Summer Wine country - the picturesque town of Holmfirth near Huddersfield in the Pennine area of West Yorkshire.

Built c1850, guests can appreciate the wealth of period features while enjoying the comforts of modern living in this recently renovated, centrally, heated two bedroom holiday home Holmfirth.

Framed behind the cooker is an animated picture of one of the most famous views of Holmfirth. Yes this window looks directly over Victoria Square towards the church. With this well equipped kitchen and its special 'Summer Wine' views you might be tempted to spend a long time cooking! But you don't have to as there are plenty of very good places to eat in and around Holmfirth and the Holme Valley.

The lounge/dining room is very light and spacious with two feature fireplaces and exposed beams. The comfortable suite is arranged around the main fireplace which is fitted with a gas stove whose glow alone could keep you warm.

The excellent Holmfirth self catering accommodation also includes a superb fitted kitchen which has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge with 4* freezer compartment and a washer/dryer.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, one double and one twin. There is also luxury bathroom with a thermostatically controlled shower over the bath and its own fireplace! (the cottage originally probably had no walls upstairs and the fireplace would have provided the "central" heating.)

As well as occupying yourself in the beautiful Pennine town of Holmfirth whether you are here because of Last of the Summer Wine or just for the natural beauty of the countryside there are plenty of things to do within easy reach on either side of the Pennines.
